Sundays in September - We're bringing you Kizomba straight from the roots with Horácio and Kimberly!

For Beginner to Advanced Beginner levels. No experience necessary. This class is designed to introduce brand new students to the dance, while also strengthening existing newer dancers in their fundamentals. This class will emphasize Kizomba foundations, proper technique, body movement, musicality, and leading & following exercises for dancing Kizomba Semba socially. This level will be thorough and challenging for all participants.

Kizomba is a beautiful partnered dance heating things up on the dance floor! With origins from Angola (Africa), Kizomba is focused on the connection between you, your partner and the music. Whether you want to learn Kizomba for the first time or improve what you've already learned, this progressive 4 week course is designed to take your Kizomba to the next level - with emphasis on Kizomba foundations, proper technique and body movements for dancing Kizomba, and fun combinations to enhance your social dancing!

In accordance with CDC guidelines and Durham County mandate, MASKS ARE REQUIRED to attend class, regardless of vaccination status. We will also ask students to wash their hands upon entering and exiting class. We will also have temperature screenings at the door. If you feel sick, are symptomatic or think you may have been exposed to COVID-19 we ask that you stay home.
